The Ourika Valley Tour with Moroccan trail is a full-day trip to the stunning Moroccan countryside, a short drive from Marrakech. Visit a traditional Berber house, enjoy breakfast and delicious mint tea, experience a camel ride and a drive to Setti Fatma in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. From here you hike to stunning waterfall and a visit to a local Argan oil co-operative. A very filling lunch of traditional Moroccan cuisine including couscous and tajines adds the final touches on a fantastic day journey into the heart of the Ourika Valley.
This trip starts from your hotel in Marrakech at 9:00 am.
After driving around 40 mints our first stop will be at a Moroccan Berber house. Our guide will take you for a full visit of the house explaining the life and the tradition of the Berber families and ourika valley in general. From the roof of the Berber house you will have a great picture for the panoramic view of the village. After that the Berber lady will show us how to make the mint tea with a very easy ceremony that makes us learn so fast. The Berber breakfast is also a delicious meal to start our adventure, which consists of home made bread, olive oil, butter and honey, after that, we will drive deeper in the mountains and we stop to enjoy a 30 min of camel ride. Our last point to drive to is Setti Fatma, a village in the Atlas Mountains, the local guide will take you for a short hike up to the waterfalls, during the hike you will enjoy a great views, after that we drive straight to a good Moroccan restaurant for lunch, lunch consits of varierty of Moroccan food ( Vegetarians are welcome).
After lunch we drive back home we will be in Marrakech around 5 pm.
